Northern India?

The Northern section of India is perhaps India’s most visited area as it is blessed with some of its most famous tourist attractions. Delhi is India’s capital city and the major hub airport for the area.

The huge and very populous state of Uttar Pradesh has India’s most revered river – The Ganges – running through it and some of India’s most impressive monuments. The Indian state of Punjab is on the northwest border. Punjab (and the neighbouring state of Haryana) have flat plains with rich soil making it a highly cultivated area, responsible for growing much of India’s wheat and other food. The people of the area are predominantly Sikhs.
