Why Visit

Goa?

The tiny state of Goa is famous for its sandy beaches, vibrant markets and nightlife.

It has been popular with tourists since the 1960’s when it was a major stop on the ‘hippy trail’. Nowadays it is an established destination with package tour companies from across Europe. North Goa is the more developed area, south Goa is quieter with fewer but mostly more upmarket hotels. Goa was not liberated by India (from the Portuguese) until 1961 and is predominantly Christian. It has a different atmosphere and character to the rest of India. If you want a few nights relaxing at a beach the end of a tour Goa may suit your needs.
