The Maldives

The atolls and islands of the Republic of Maldives are off the coast of Kerala and may be included in a holiday to South India. There are daily flights from Trivandrum in the south of Kerala to Male (the capital of the Maldives) and it is also possible to fly there from other Indian airports too. The Maldives offers white coral sand beaches and clear water for snorkelling and diving. Many of the resorts have ‘home reefs’ in their turquoise lagoons. Most of the resorts in the Maldives cater to the luxury end of the market and many have Spas – this is a great place to relax after a tour of India.
