Orchha

This is a delightful small town which was once an ancient capital city. The streets are full of ancient palaces, temples, chhatris (cenotaphs), lively markets and friendly people. The town is small enough to wander around and get a feel for. It is a good place to break a journey between Agra and Khajuraho or the National Parks of Madhya Pradesh.
