North Kerala

North Kerala, home to the Malabar Coast from Kozhikode (Calicut) is far less touristic than those in southern Kerala.

Kozhikode (Calicut)

Kozhikode (Calicut) is the main city of the Malabar region. The airport does take a number of international flights from a range of airlines but currently does not have the facilities to take visitors travelling on an eTV. The city of Calicut is known for its weaving (calico is believed to have originated here) and also has a thriving boat building industry. As Kerala’s third largest city it also has good shopping opportunities.
