Gwalior

Gwalior city is in the north of the state of Madhya Pradesh and is dominated by a Fort considered to be one of the finest hilltop forts of India – a sandstone citadel with temples and palaces. Also to be seen in the city is the Jai Vilas Palace, rock-cut Jain sculptures etc. Although less than 120 kms from Agra and with good rail links, this city sees few foreign visitors.
