The Lodge at Wah

Palampur, Himachal Pradesh

Homestay, Mid-Range, Heritage

Deepak Prakash designed the Lodge at Wah to be a natural blend with its surroundings and serve as a family retreat close to the tea factory. The cottages are a reflection of traditional Kangra architecture, constructed by local craftsmen using materials like stone, slate, and mud. Much of the wood was salvaged from the ancient Palampur courthouse, with additional timber acquired responsibly from the estate. No paint was used, walls are naturally polished with a mud and lime combination. The lodge is still dedicated to environmentally responsible operations, providing visitors with a tranquil and genuine stay in balance with the natural world.
